Kirkcaldy is in the east of Scotland and is the largest town in the kingdom of Fife. Historically it had an large amount of fishing vessels and that brought in quite alot of money into the town, but now it has been re-devloped to be more oriented around real-estate and its pier has been demolished. Its main cultural venue is The Adam Smith Theatre which has been visited by comedians such as Glasgow's Billy Connely and Tommy Cooper and also hosts the Fife Festival of Music every year.
