Llanelli is located in the south of Wales their main industries are to do with metals such as steelworking and tin. The Welsh reputation for coal-mining was historically high in this area, but has been modernised nowerdays, Llanelli is also known for its love of rugby.
An interesting fact about Llanelli is that it was the focus for Most Haunted Live the television show in June 2006 which explores different houses and areas that are claimed to be 'haunted'. The place that was claimed to be haunted was Parc Howard; an old mansion turned museum which contains a large amount of historic pottery from the local area.
