Swansea is the second largest city in Wales but was originally just a small market town until the 1900's where it started to grow and expand its industries first into metals and was the authority in copper smelting in the mid 19th century. The industries now are more based around administration and banking, also medical care and the leisure industry play a large role in employment. The city of Swansea is renowned for being a popular holiday resort and tourist area, with large amounts of history to explore people often come to Swansea for short breaks.
